The coast

Seven places we keep returning to.

Build your own route or follow the wind with the captain. Distances are short — the four islets sit six minutes from the dock; Porto Palermo a little over an hour up the coast.

I

The four islets

Anchor between the second and third, swim to the chapel, lunch at the wooden taverna over grilled sea bass.

6 min
II

Mirror beach Pasqyra

Pasqyra — "the mirror" — for the glass-flat water above a pale-sand floor. The shortest hop with the cleanest swim.

10 min
III

Pulëbardha

Long pebble bay walled by olive groves, lined up with Mirror Beach and Kep Merli. Quieter from the water than from the road.

14 min
IV

Tongo island & Ftelea

A small islet with a sandy shoal off Ftelea Beach — a deeper-water snorkel stop and the classic BBQ anchor.

18 min
V

Krorëz cove

Cliff-flanked, reachable only by sea. The water turns a pale, improbable green.

32 min
VI

Porto Palermo

Natural harbour with Ali Pasha's stone fortress at its heart. Walk the ramparts, swim off the rocks below.

1h 10
VII

Cape Stillo

Southernmost point of Albania. Old lighthouse, a sea cave to drift into when the water is calm.

How it works

From dock message to open water.

Booking should feel like talking to the person who will actually read the sea in the morning. Three practical decisions, no platform theatre.

01 / Message

Tell us the day, guests, and mood.

Use the strip above or WhatsApp the captain. We reply with the boat that fits the sea state, group size, and route.

02 / Route

Choose the short swim loop or a longer coast run.

The four islets, Pulëbardha, Krorëz, Cape Stillo, or Porto Palermo. We keep the plan flexible when wind or swell changes.

03 / Dock

Meet at Rruga Riviera and cast off.

Captain's logbook

Local decisions beat fixed itineraries.

Until real public reviews are connected, this space does the more honest job: it explains how the day is actually handled from the dock.

  1. 01Morning

    Wind decides the first stop.

The captain checks the water before confirming the route. Some days the islets are perfect; some days Pulëbardha is cleaner.

  2. 02Self-drive

Small boats leave after a real briefing.

You get the no-go zones, anchor basics, swim-stop etiquette, and the phone number to call if the weather changes.

  3. 03Long day

Porto Palermo needs room in the schedule.

It is a proper coast run, best when the sea is settled and the group wants time for fortress, lunch, and two swims.

  4. 04Return

The cleanest days end before the dock gets busy.

Sunset rides are shorter. Full days return with enough light for fuel check, gear handoff, and a calm walk back.

Common questions

The answers typed most often on WhatsApp.

No hidden booking system, no canned portal. These are the practical answers guests ask for before they choose a boat.

Active question 01 / 06
Do I need a licence?
Reference photo sent by captain
No — all seven boats in our fleet can be rented without a licence under Albanian rules. You get a fifteen-minute brief at the dock and the day is yours. If you'd rather we drove, just ask and a captain comes with the boat.
Active question 02 / 06
What's included in the price?
Fuel for a sensible day on the water, insurance, life jackets for everyone, sunshade, cushioned seating, and a Bluetooth speaker for your music. Cool box on request. The number we quote is the number you pay.
Active question 03 / 06
What if the weather isn't right?
Reference photo sent by captain
We won't sail if the sea is unsafe. Full refund or reschedule, your call. We'll message you the night before if the morning looks bad.
Active question 04 / 06
Can I pay in cash or do you need a card?
Cash or card at the dock, or a transfer in advance. WhatsApp the captain to lock the date — no deposit needed for a quiet day in May or September.
Active question 05 / 06
Where do we meet you?
At Sea Breeze Seaside Bar & Restaurant on Rruga Riviera in Ksamil. If you're staying inside Ksamil we'll point you to the path; from Saranda it's a short taxi.
Active question 06 / 06
How early do we need to book?
In May, June and September last-minute is usually fine. July and August fill up two or three days ahead — WhatsApp the moment you know your dates.
